Grief can be a complex experience, especially if there is trauma due to violence, suicide, murder, accident, medical negligence and other unnatural or unexpected causes. Grief is also something everyone will experience, whether it is a pet passing, a relationship ending or the loss of something valued.
It seems to me there is always more to grieve in the world, as well. The loss of species, nature, hope.
We've lost most traditional ways of grieving beyond the funeral, and even conversationally, talking about our loss past a brief time period is not a social norm. How do you think this impacts on mental health?
Repressed grief can overshadow life. Learning how to manage loss and grief so you can still live your life is possible. Like how you can't see your own chin, and I can, a session with me is informed by reflecting back to you your own beliefs, strengths and resources.
I have been trained in various counselling and communication skills that are super effective at pinpointing where you might be stuck and shifting that.
REWORD   If you wish, we can also faciltate an experience of connection with your passed loved one through a guided meditation that uses your own symbols and keys to unlock how the deeper part of your mind is processing.....
Or you might have an aha! moment and look at things in a totally different way that shifts everything. Or it might be that a couple of weeks after our meeting, you'll notice how much things have changed.
My fascination is with metaphors - the symbols that resonnate with our inner world, or the slogans we live out that emerge from that deep wellspring of past learning. That all sounds woo woo but it isn't. You might be surprised at the insights you get when we take this dive.
This form of grief coaching focuses on stories and metaphors that get to the root core of any problem you might be experiencing so it can be ressolved.
Perhaps you are having difficulty sleeping or getting regular nightmares, or you are using alcohol or drugs to self-medicate. It could be that you are constantly feeling low, depressed and isolating yourself in a way that isn't healthy for you. Maybe you feel stuck, you've lost your spark, libido or creativity. Maybe negative feelings like anger, regret, guilt and shame are haunting you.

This is where I combine my graphic design training with counselling skills and other modalities so we can create new and healing memories with your loved one.

How this works - we will meet online and talk about your loved one. This will be lovely, I'm so interested to hear your memories, the funny stories, how they impacted your heart and life. We'll discuss the artwork, ideas and you will be able to email me photos. From there I will create a piece of art, and we can meet againto refine it. When it is finished, I will email it to you as a high resolution image that you can get printed or share on social media or with others.
